Eye condition resolved

I wear glasses or contact lenses, and last year I had an appointment with an eye doctor for a routine exam, which included several tests. The doctor expressed concern over the results of one test and said he wanted to repeat it within the next week or two. I asked him what would happen if the results were still not what he hoped for. He indicated that my vision could be deteriorating, and that he would want me to see an eye specialist.

I left the doctor’s office feeling shaken and frightened. I decided to go ahead and make an appointment for the repeat test, but I also contacted a Christian Science practitioner for metaphysical support. The practitioner lovingly agreed to pray for me, and she asked me to study and pray with two specific citations.

One was from the Bible: “Thou art of purer eyes than to behold evil, and canst not look on iniquity” (Habakkuk 1:13). The other was from page 428 of Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy: “To divest thought of false trusts and material evidences in order that the spiritual facts of being may appear,—this is the great attainment by means of which we shall sweep away the false and give place to the true.”
