Recurring motion sickness healed

We were on our way from Texas to Wyoming. My granddaughter was very excited about the job she was starting there, and I had offered to accompany her on the cross-country drive. This all came about suddenly, and we had little time to get ready, including to find a place for her to live.

We prayed with this statement in Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy: “In the scientific relation of God to man, we find that whatever blesses one blesses all, as Jesus showed with the loaves and the fishes,—Spirit, not matter, being the source of supply” (p. 206). We contacted the Christian Science Society near her new town and asked if anyone might have a place where we could stay for a week or so until my granddaughter could find her own place. That need was met by a couple who were about to leave for a trip and were happy to have someone take care of their home while they were away. What blessed one, blessed all of us, and it was a great comfort to know she had a church “family” ready to welcome her.

As we drove, traveling about 500 miles each day, we read aloud the weekly Bible Lesson from the Christian Science Quarterly and talked about how she would settle in to her new job and community. It was on our third day, when I was having a quiet prayer time, that a thought suddenly occurred to me: I had not experienced any motion sickness!
