Pregnancy complications healed
I am now at a grandmotherly age and, having relied on Christian Science throughout my life, have had many, many healings. The one that stands out most was when I was expecting my son. Late in the pregnancy I noticed that the child, who had been very active earlier, had stopped moving.
We were living in Kodiak, Alaska, and I decided it was best to go to Anchorage, where I would have the support of a Christian Science practitioner who had been a lifelong friend. I was grateful that my husband, who was not raised in Christian Science, was very supportive of my reliance on prayer for healing.
In Anchorage a nurse did some tests on me and found that I had uremic poisoning and high blood pressure. She expressed grave concern about this. I contacted a doctor who had delivered a number of babies for mothers who were members of the Church of Christ, Scientist, there. After examining me and seeing the results of the medical tests, he suggested that I could overcome this difficulty through prayer, because he had witnessed the healing results of prayer in the past.
