In the June 4, 2018, Sentinel, Cheryl Ranson addresses the question “Why should a person diagnosed as having an incurable disease read a Christian Science magazine?
On the web: The following JSH-Online.

Why gratitude matters

When we let gratitude enter the heart, it brings both light and focus.
Let’s all participate in mankind’s rescue missions through our prayers.
One of the beautiful aspects of each Wednesday meeting is seeing how the Bible reveals solutions to modern problems.
Our ability and authority to give are equally from God.
She said, “I saw you reading the Bible. Can I come in and talk?”

No more fear

For many years I was a fearful person.

Favorite Bible characters

My favorite Bible character is Daniel, because he was safe in the lions’ den after a king put him in there.

Protected from injury

I had left the house in a hurry to go to the Wednesday testimony meeting at my branch Church of Christ, Scientist.
Just after my high school graduation, my mom passed away, and I felt lost.
As a lifelong Christian Scientist, I am very grateful for many proofs of God’s guidance and healing care.

Welcome home

True gratitude impels us to go beyond simply feeling good, to doing good.
