Decision-making and spiritual discoveries
I found myself in a position at work that required a lot of decision-making. Some decisions were straightforward and easy to make. Some were really difficult. Often I needed to make decisions with my team. But I regularly wondered if I was going about things in the best way possible.
Finding the right way to make decisions was important to me. Should my team and I vote on a decision? Should we add up pros and cons for each option? Should we just go with our gut feeling? Should we let circumstances dictate what we do?
One time, I found myself faced with a particularly difficult decision to make. Realizing that I did not have enough human wisdom to make this decision, I turned wholeheartedly to God in prayer. I knew, from the teachings of Christian Science, that God is divine Mind, and that this Mind has infinite intelligence and wisdom. I knew that I could trust this Mind to reveal to me the right way forward. And that’s what happened. A solution appeared that resolved the situation perfectly.
