God’s tender care dissolves a fever
I want to express my gratitude for Church and Sunday School and for an instantaneous healing of a fever for our then five-year-old daughter, Emily.
At the time, I was a teacher for a college-age Sunday School class, and I’d been wondering that day about what direction my prayer and preparation for the following Sunday should take. Reading the weekly Christian Science Bible Lesson always gave me specific ideas to share with my class, and that morning I felt directed to look for ways to recognize divine Mind in action, to know God as the source of all intelligence, wisdom, and understanding. This idea helped me to understand that this kind of active looking was a way for me to “pray without ceasing” (I Thessalonians 5:17), and I carried it into the rest of my day.
