Restored after a fall
In January of last year, I took a fall on cement pavement in downtown Los Angeles. I thought I was walking on an even surface, so I was paying more attention to all the activity around me than to the walkway. I did not notice the steps until I found myself on the ground below them. I had planned to attend a symphony concert, but I felt a sharp pain in my hip and decided it was best to go home.
I had taken the train to get downtown, but the crowds were so heavy and moving so fast that I didn’t think I would be able to catch a train to go home. I reached out to God for help and walked just half a block before I saw a bus stop. I talked to the bus driver, who happened to be going straight to where I live. He even apologized that I would be the only one on the bus because he was totally off-schedule because of having mechanical problems with prior buses. I had an express ride home!
I had difficulty sitting, so I prayed diligently the whole way home. I expressed gratitude to God that a bus going directly to a block from my home was immediately available and that I could have the bus to myself so I could focus on prayer.
