Normal use of legs and feet regained

I was so happy to be going on a trip to a summer camp. The trip would take two or more days of driving, which was part of the fun. However, within the first six hours of the first morning, I began having difficulties using my legs and feet normally, which made driving a challenge.

My niece was in the car with me, and she and I began to pray. We acknowledged that God’s protection, guidance, and harmony were evident and present. My niece had never driven on an interstate highway before. But to support me, she agreed to drive for at least an hour so that I could pray for myself with fewer distractions.

I wanted to pray in accord with the Bible teaching, “Let your yea be yea; and your nay, nay” (James 5:12); that is, I wanted to be completely honest in clearly affirming what is true and denying what is false. So, I affirmed the truth that God is good, and that God, divine good, is omniaction. I affirmed that I am the perfect, spiritual, infinite idea of infinite Mind, God. I affirmed a metaphysical truth: “Mind, joyous in strength, dwells in the realm of Mind. Mind’s infinite ideas run and disport themselves. In humility they climb the heights of holiness” (Mary Baker Eddy, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, p. 514). I felt it was key for me to understand myself as a spiritual idea, as Mind’s idea. As an idea of God, Mind, I was free to run and express myself fully with strength and dominion.
