Untold blessings from Christian Science
“Let the redeemed of the Lord say so” (Psalms 107:2). My life has surely been redeemed in countless ways since I received my first copy of the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, by our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy. This contribution is one of gratitude to Mrs. Eddy for her incredible courage as she endured and triumphed over many trials while bringing this Science to the world for the benefit of all humanity.
I attended a high school that competed regularly with a school for Christian Scientists. I clearly recall that when we visited the school for different sporting events, I would think to myself, “These are those weird people who don’t believe in going to the doctor.” Since my dad was a doctor, and he was my hero, I could not fathom anyone who didn’t accept medical science. Of course, I have since learned that Christian Scientists do respect MDs.
