Illness healed
I love to contribute to the branch Church of Christ, Scientist, of which I am a member. About a year ago, when I was serving on the board of this church, I went through an experience that led me to ponder the spiritual truth that we are one with God.
I had just arrived at the Christian Science Reading Room and was surprised with the improper way a person and her companions (people who rendered maintenance services to the church) started talking to me about a particular matter having to do with them that was being handled by the board. I could not pause to pray at that moment, but when they left, I recognized that divine Love, the only power truly in action, had always been and would always be present; that any personal conflict is not true in divine reality, because, as the image and likeness of Love, all children of God can reflect only the nature of Love and express love, unselfishness, meekness, and joy.
After returning home, I was involved all afternoon in marking passages from the Bible and Mary Baker Eddy’s writings for my continued study. These passages had been shared at a round-table discussion on the public practice of Christian Science, which I had attended not long before.
