Wonderful renewal and healing
Several years ago, I was faced with a challenging situation; I was unable to walk more than a few steps at a time and was also dealing with other alarming symptoms. Since I’ve always relied on Christian Science, I immediately turned to God in prayer.
My husband, who is not a Christian Scientist, was very loving and supportive, providing care for me when needed. As time went on, I knew this arrangement would not be sustainable, and I prayed deeply about what to do. As I turned to God for guidance, it felt right for me to make plans to go to a Christian Science nursing facility. This was not an easy decision to make, as the facility was some distance away from our home and in another state.
In my prayers, I worked with a Bible passage I’d found helpful many times before: “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths” (Proverbs 3:5, 6). As I held on to this thought and listened quietly to what God’s good intention was for me, everything regarding preparations for my stay at the Christian Science nursing facility fell into place.
