Freed from carsickness
From childhood and continuing into adulthood, I was plagued with carsickness whenever I was sitting in the back seat or driving along curving roads. When I was little, this condition always won me much sympathy from my family and friends. I never gave it any thought but believed it was something I just had to live with.
After being introduced to Christian Science as a young adult, I began an earnest study of its teachings. I discovered that this condition was not a God-given law but was merely a false belief in the ability of matter to affect my being. However, during my early years of marriage when our children were small, our family often took vacations throughout West Virginia, and once again I would find myself battling all the old uncomfortable feelings as we drove along the country roads.
