Break the grip of gambling
Just recently I read several reports about the increase in gambling among senior citizens. It has become an epidemic according to these reports. Those searching for solutions are working with seniors themselves, as well as senior planners and senior clubs. The reports said that it was hard to gather information about the full extent of the epidemic, mainly because people hated to admit they had a gambling problem.
One of the reasons many seniors gamble is because they are bored. At least that’s why I got started. I had worked all my life, and I was lost when I retired. My marriage of 47 years had dissolved and ended in divorce, and I felt not only lost, but also alone and very depressed.
In my prayers to be free of the grip of gambling, I kept thought “steadfastly” on God and His idea, man.
