Swift recovery from scorpion sting
We had just moved to the southwestern United States with our two little girls. The house was in a new development, next to a cotton field, where more homes were being built. Our real estate agent had alerted us to be aware of scorpions; the new buildings were displacing them.
About two weeks after moving into our new house, I was awakened in the night with a strong thought to pray for my family. The angel message that came to me was to get up, go to the kitchen, and open the issue of the Christian Science Sentinel that had arrived that day. I got up at once.
The first article I read in the Sentinel contained ideas that I found very inspiring. As I pondered these ideas, the thought came to me that nothing harmful could be “injected” into consciousness, nothing poisonous or inharmonious. I felt conscious only of God, good, and that nothing could enter my experience to disturb or upset my God-given harmony. I also felt conscious of the fact that there is no opposition to God’s power and presence.
