Facial blemish gone
Several years ago a mark appeared on my face. Since it was not painful, I didn’t pray about it specifically. But about two years ago this spot became painful and began to look worse. Then I really started praying in earnest.
In Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, Mary Baker Eddy gave this helpful instruction: “Become conscious for a single moment that Life and intelligence are purely spiritual,—neither in nor of matter,—and the body will then utter no complaints. If suffering from a belief in sickness, you will find yourself suddenly well” (p. 14).
I desired to become conscious of my true spiritual nature. However, at times it was difficult not to look at the spot, and I became discouraged. Then one morning while I was praying, a thought came: “It is not about matter; it is all about God and His perfect child.”
