The power of acknowledging spiritual perfection
Many readers of this magazine strive with all their heart to be better spiritual healers by following Christ Jesus. They work to deepen in themselves the understanding he gave mankind of the inseparable relationship between God and man.
We can chart Jesus’ footsteps in the Bible, which tells us that among the places he preached the gospel was in Galilee, where he traveled throughout the region teaching in the synagogues, healing every type of disease and disability. In Syria, where people had heard about the Master’s healing works, they brought to him many sick people, having various “diseases and torments,” including those “possessed with devils,” the insane, and the paralyzed. According to Scripture, he healed them all (see Matthew 4:23, 24).
When things get tough, we may wish Jesus were here today to personally help and advise us. During such times it is good to remember what Jesus told his disciples: “Lo, I am with you alway” (Matthew 28:20). These words continue to assure us that his teachings and demonstrations of the Christ—the powerful, saving Truth by which he healed—are with us now and forever.
