Sentinel article prompts a healing
My wife and I were invited to go kayaking and view the manatees with a friend from church. When my wife couldn’t go, the friend and I went forward with the plan and had a great paddle.
When we got back to the boat ramp, there was enough water on the ramp to float our boats in. My friend went in first and I followed, getting out of the kayak to help carry hers onto the lawn. But when I ran back down to my kayak and reached the center of the boat ramp, I realized the ramp was covered with slick green algae. I immediately skidded, fell down, and went into a free slide along the corrugated concrete ramp.
I felt a sharp pain in my hand as I tried to stop myself at the end of the dock. The thought came to me that there are no accidents in God’s universe, and that there can be nothing to get in the way of an active weekend, as well as participating in a golf tournament. I knew that God was right there, leading me.
