New column

We’ve started a new Sentinel column called “Turning points in spiritual growth.” In this column, readers can share experiences that have particularly made them grow in their practice of Christian Science—times in which the truth became clearer and the pathway ahead felt more certain. For submission information visit jsh.christianscience.com/submit. Please mention the name of the column in “Author comments” on the submission form.

What I needed

The first article, “Christly love: a powerful response to injustice” by Nancy Mullen, in the September 14, 2015, Sentinel is exactly what I needed this afternoon! It reaffirms my thoughts and supports with spiritual ideas the fact that only harmony reigns!

Important topic

[“No poaching in God’s domain,” Lisa Troseth, August 31, 2015, Sentinel]

Thank you to Lisa for contributing this unique and much-needed topic to our periodicals. It is so important for each of us to know that God created man to reflect His dominion over His kingdom by caring for each of His precious ideas.

Clear understanding

I so appreciated Joseph Megwe’s article, “Trusting God with our desires,” in the August 17, 2015, Sentinel. His clear understanding, especially as a new student of Christian Science, and his trust in God, is an inspiration. He understood enough to demonstrate attendance at church services and to have something to give. I have turned several times, in thought, to what he wrote.

My love for the periodicals that Mary Baker Eddy founded continues undiminished!

Heartfelt thanks

My heartfelt thanks to Seaward Grant for his account of the purchase of a truck, “Prayer resolves problem purchase,” in the August 17, 2015, Sentinel, and his clarification regarding the belief of loss. His testimony has brought much insight to me.
