Lyme disease healed
During 2007, I spent the weekdays in the city and weekends at our country home. One day, prior to my finding out about the benefits of prayer in Christian Science, I noticed my right leg was swollen with some sort of bug bite. After looking at pictures on the Internet, I suspected this was a tick bite. I didn’t feel any discomfort for a few weeks but decided to see a doctor just to be sure I wasn’t facing any serious problems.
I waited a couple of weeks for the result, which was a diagnosis of Lyme disease. The doctor prescribed a two-week regimen of antibiotics, which I took. My body started to show symptoms of the disease, fluctuating between feeling just fine and feeling horrible. I didn’t know what was going on. During that time, my supervisor at work told me her daughter had been diagnosed with the same disease. She was very sympathetic. With her recommendation, I met with a “Lyme specialist.”
I continued on the antibiotics for almost two months. Instead of getting better, my condition worsened. This kind of treatment was not working. I then tried natural medicines for two more years but nothing helped; the symptoms persisted.
