Washed clean
Brian Kissock
There are no footprints
when snow melts
or waves wash the beach.
There is no baggage
of heredity or prolongation
of perceived past misdemeanors,
no plausible but inexcusable opinions.
Just the gentle washing of our feet,
as he did.
The cleansing of our minds
by the Christ.
Ah, … what peace!
—Brian Kissock
