Refuse to be afraid!
I wonder if you have ever been in a situation where some discordant condition has been with you for so long that you cannot imagine what life would be like without it.
Ever since I can remember, I suffered from headaches. The headaches were so severe that I found it difficult to continue with my daily activities and would have to shut myself away until the pain stopped. Over many years a pattern began to form as to when the headaches would occur, and I learned to identify the conditions and consequently expect the pain and discomfort to happen. The headaches would usually last all day or all night, and I was unable to eat anything or to sit or lie down during these times.
Gradually the headaches became part of my life, and I managed these times as best I could. In recent years the headaches became much more frequent, and I was forced to regulate my work and social life around them.
