Lump on wrist healed
A number of years ago, a small lump appeared on the inside of my left wrist. It was not uncomfortable, but it was rather unsightly. Whenever I saw it, I affirmed that it was no part of me because God didn’t create it. I prayed rather superficially for many months because I wasn’t sure if one should “bother” God about things that are mostly related to appearance.
One day during a chat on spirituality.com, somebody asked the Christian Science practitioner if it was OK to pray about baldness. The practitioner replied that we pray about whatever engages our thought. So I began to pray more earnestly about this small deformity.
In November 2008, I had to travel abroad for work. In the quiet of my hotel room, away from the usual distractions of family life, I asked God why this situation had not changed. The answer I received was immediate: “Well, your thought hasn’t changed, has it?” I laughed at this because it was so true.
