A couple of months ago, we moved into our new storefront Christian Science Reading Room. The members of our Christian Science branch church had spent considerable resources on making the storefront really attractive and welcoming. When we sold our church, we had a choice of either disappearing into a church member’s basement or getting “out there,” and despite our small numbers, we chose the latter. Because of this, I was feeling a little disappointed that we hadn’t really seen much foot traffic. I had also been praying that people would feel safe coming into our Reading Room.

Recently, I was asked to become the Reading Room attendant on Thursdays, and this spurred me to focus on specific metaphysical work for the Reading Room on a daily basis. The following is an account of a day’s activities in the Reading Room:
