Letters

The Sentinel editorial “Divine simplicity … or mental algebra?” [October 29] is simply amazing. I am so grateful for all the spiritual light that shines in the periodicals. I have gone through my week, living with the ideas shared in this uplifting editorial: “that the goal of perfection is set—and met—in one holy instant: now.” I have been able to witness that holy instant, right where I am. The beauty and holiness of life, here and now, this very moment. So beautifully simple, to let grace land—instead of using lots of intellectual wrestling to try to fix “a problem we’re convinced is real.” What a hoot to really feel that great, yet simple truth. I laughed out loud.

One phrase in particular really sang to me: “That each one of us is included in, and identified by, this ‘All in all’—intact, pure, and unfettered, is the essential message of Christian Science.” This precious, simple Science of the Christ holds all creation, knows all of creation as the very goodness that has always been—no one left out. I am so grateful to be able to walk humbly and joyously with these ideas.

And the topper—I finally used my JSH-Online subscription to share this treasure of an editorial!
