An angel message heals

The first time I attended a Christian Science Sunday school, I was about five years old. I can remember how much it meant to me when the teacher told me that God was my Father-Mother, as I had lost both of my parents. 

My father was injured in World War I and lived in a veteran’s home until he passed on. My mother had passed on by then, too. I was adopted by a great-aunt and great-uncle who were Christian Scientists. I started to attend the Christian Science Sunday school regularly after that. Even at that age, I appreciated Mary Baker Eddy’s writings and healings.

About a year ago, I had an irregular heartbeat that would wake me up often during the night. The thought came to me that I could be healed through Christian Science. I knew that God is speaking to human consciousness with His angel thoughts, and so I decided to memorize a spiritual idea, based on what I’d learned from Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy. I memorized this one phrase so that when I awoke, it would come to mind. The sentence was: “As God’s reflection, my real being expresses perfection.”
