My favorite way of praying

Hi, my name is Abby. I live in the Philippines. One Friday afternoon in July, my aunt slipped at the mall. When she came home, she said her knee hurt a lot. My aunt is a Christian Scientist. She told me she was praying and holding to the truth that an accident could not happen to her as the image and likeness of God.

The following day, my aunt's knee did not improve and she felt sick. She told me we might not be able to go to church on Sunday. I live with my aunt, and she takes me to the Christian Science Sunday School every week. I really got sad thinking I'd miss my Sunday School that I love very much. That night, I borrowed my aunt's Christian Science Hymnal. I wanted to help pray for her. I prayed that God is good and there is no sickness and pain in God.

Singing hymns is my favorite way of praying. I chose some of the hymns with words by Mary Baker Eddy, for example, "Mother's Evening Prayer" (Hymn 207) and " 'Feed My Sheep' " (Hymn 304). I sang them to myself and to my aunt. I also sang other hymns. I was very confident that God would heal my aunt.
