'WALKING THE TALK'

I'd just flown in from Washington State to spend a week helping my daughter. My job would be to entertain my grandson while my daughter was taking my granddaughter to rehearsals for an upcoming dance recital. My grandson loves baseball, so we were to practice pitching, hitting, and catching. He was so excited to see me and wanted to get started with our baseball fun.

While we were having a picnic lunch on the lawn, he suggested I just pitch him a few balls. Although I'd worn high platform sandals on the flight, I said I would pitch two balls before changing my shoes. During the second pitch, I stumbled, fell, and twisted my ankle.

My daughter told the children to just give me a minute, so they sat on the picnic blanket while I gathered my thoughts and began to pray. I rested there in the grass and knew this was an opportunity for healing and for proving God's law of reflection. This law can be found in the Bible in the book of Genesis: "God created man in his own image" (1:27).
