A LISTENING HEART

I'm originally from Mexico and attend high school here in the United States. At school, Christian Science has been a big part of my life. This year, in particular, has been full of blessings. I'd like to tell you about a few.

Lately, I've been reading the Bible and Science and Health and the weekly Christian Science Bible Lesson with more purpose. Because of this, doors to new spiritual discoveries seem to open all the time. One thing I think about often is, Am I really willing to listen to what God is telling me?

One of my favorite parts in Science and Health is on page 495 and has been especially helpful to me: "When the illusion of sickness or sin tempts you cling steadfastly to God and His idea. Allow nothing but His likeness to abide in your thought. Let neither fear nor doubt overshadow your clear sense and calm trust, that the recognition of life harmonious—as Life eternally is—can destroy any painful sense of, or belief in, that which Life is not." To me this means, never let go of God. He has His arms open, ready to receive you at all times. Willingness to listen and pray for healing ideas is important.
