FREED FROM PAINFUL SYMPTOMS
Last summer I had a healing that has meant a great deal to me. At the beginning of three consecutive weeks of hosting houseguests, I experienced sudden and extreme symptoms of pain and irritation that seemed to be located in my urinary tract. Because the symptoms were rather startling and very unpleasant, I immediately called a Christian Science practitioner for prayerful help.
We spoke briefly, and he mentioned that there was no "inflammation" or "irritation" in God (or in me as God's reflection). This struck a chord with me, as I had indeed been irritated about several things related to getting the house ready for so many guests—especially since these preparations were coming closely on the heels of a lengthy construction project we'd just finished on our home. I took a few moments after speaking with the practitioner and prayed to recognize that God governed all of my activities, and to know that instead of being overwhelmed by my own mountainous to-do list, I could listen to Him for guidance. The next morning, the symptoms were dramatically reduced, and I released the practitioner.
However, I didn't really keep praying, and continued to experience mild symptoms over the next three weeks. I was grateful to be able to participate with our guests in all the activities we'd planned, which included hiking, canoeing, and swimming, with only my husband being aware of what I was dealing with.
