A LIFE IN HARMONY
MY CONSCIOUS decision to leave Christian Science, and what I thought of as a restrictive lifestyle, led to a life in disarray at all levels. It's difficult to put into words the contenment I now feel from turning back to God for direction in my life—and for the sense of peace and fulfillment it provides that nothing else can.
For quite some time after leaving home at 17, I paid only lip service to Christian Science. I didn't attend services or study, and I guess you could say I just drifted mentally.
But years later, when I was married with four children, my wife and I felt it was important that they receive religious training. I quit smoking and drinking, and we became active in a local Christian Science church. The teachings of Christian Science and the physical healings we experienced provided a spiritual anchor. It was a special period for the whole family.
