A CONCRETE FRAMEWORK FOR THE HEALER

I'm a schoolteacher, so I appreciate the value that taking a class can bring to understanding a subject or field of study.

Two years ago, I took Christian Science class instruction and discovered that it was a way to learn about the healing principles Jesus proved, just as taking a calculus class would be a great way to learn about advanced mathematics. For me, taking this course was an invigorating, empowering experience that continues to bless. In the past few years, I've not only felt more confident in my ability to heal through prayer, but I've also strengthened my commitment to studying the Bible and the writings of Mary Baker Eddy. And I attribute this spiritual growth to practicing what I learned in Christian Science class instruction.

I was raised in Christian Science—I went to Sunday School and talked about spiritual concepts with my parents—so it's been a strong force in shaping who I am today. Throughout college, I thought about looking into Christian Science class instruction, but I never really got around to it. After I graduated, from time to time I would have conversations with friends about their experiences in class. My interest grew, but I still didn't take action.
