LETTERS

Thanks so much for the beautiful Sentinel of January 29 ["Peace within—Peace without"]. I lingered before opening the cover and felt awash in peace just seeing the colors, the radiant picture, and the glorious reminder Psalm 122 gives us: "Peace be within thy walls, and prosperity within thy palaces." I loved the idea from Patricia Kadick in her Upfront, to have this verse as a well-wishing signature on e-mail communications.

The ideas in Barbara Pettis's article, "Peace right where you are," helped me so much, too. I especially enjoyed this line: ...true peace isn't the absence of conflict so much as it is the realized presence of God, seen in the Christ, Truth." I can remember this as I pray for our world and my family.

Thanks so much for all the generous writers, photographers, and staff who make available such a useful resource.
