FACIAL PARALYSIS HEALED
One healing in my life stands out as a guidepost in my study and practice of Christian Science. Whenever I'm faced with a roadblock to my spiritual understanding—such as sickness or accident—this particular healing reminds me that God, Love, is present and constant.
In the fall of my senior year of high school, I noticed that one side of my face was sluggish. When I would smile or squint, it didn't respond as the other side. In a short time I couldn't move any part of that side of my face—I couldn't smile or close my eyelid at all. This alarmed me.
My father, who is not a Christian Scientist, felt that I should see a doctor. The doctor was uncertain, but determined it was a type of palsy, although he'd never treated it in someone so young.
