FACIAL INJURY HEALED THROUGH REALIZATION OF GOD'S PROTECTING POWER

I was working at a large construction site, and had decided to examine the job my team had done in an underground concrete gallery many meters below the soil. Because it was the end of the day and I was on my way home, I wasn't wearing protective gear.

When I touched the concrete casing, it became dislodged. The cement coating, containing a chemical compound, flew off and sprayed my face. The pain was intense, and I couldn't see. And I was alone.

But I immediately acknowledged the presence of God, who is infinite good. How wonderful it is to be able to count on God's unfailing and ever-present protection! I felt safe, knowing that no evil could harm me, because I was the spiritual creation of God. I said out loud "the scientific statement of being," which begins: "There is no life, truth, intelligence, nor substance in matter. All is infinite Mind and its infinite manifestation, for God is All-in-all" (Science and Health, p. 468). This helped me understand that Mind, God, was protecting me and embracing me with His love at that very moment.
