CALMING AND TRANSFORMING A VIOLENT ATMOSPHERE
Prayer and spiritual insight are powerful in the face of violence and terrorism. Steve Carlson of Sentinel Radio spoke recently with JAMES SPENCER, a teacher and practitioner of Christian Science from Massachusetts. Here are excerpts from their discussion as edited for print.
Jim, how do you feel we can best address the shock and grief that many may feel when an act of terrorism occurs, as well as the ongoing fear of terrorism?
What a tremendous question! My heart goes out to the injured and of course to the families of those individuals who have lost their lives. Everyone needs comfort. Everyone needs support. Everyone needs just plain love.
