'MARY BAKER EDDY: Her Life and Times'

Last month spirituality.com featured JUDY HUENNEKE in a live chat on "Mary Baker Eddy: Her Life and Times." Judy is senior researcher at The Mary Baker Eddy Library for the Betterment of Humanity in Boston, Massachusetts. She has worked with the archival collections of The First Church of Christ, Scientist, for two decades, processing and exploring information related to the life and accomplishments of Mary Baker Eddy and the Church she founded.

Over 160 visitors from seven countries—the United States, Canada, Great Britain, Germany, Switzerland, Turkey, Australia—attended the chat via the Internet. This excerpt, which includes some of their questions, has been adapted for the Sentinel. The chat can be heard in its entirety on spirituality.com at www.spirituality.com/chats/marybakereddy.

Why do you think Mary Baker Eddy's life is as important as her discovery?
