PAIN AND INFLAMMATION HEALED
Originally published in El Heraldo de la Christian Science
It was Wednesday, and all day long I had been feeling very sorrowful. I called a Christian Science practitioner that night, and her words comforted me with a lot of love. I was aware that this was not my natural state of thought as the beloved daughter of God. Only health, happiness, and joy come from divine Mind, and this was not at all what I was feeling right then. But after the call, the feeling of grief immediately disappeared, and I forgot about the problem.
Soon after that, however, I began to feel a slight pain in one of my molars. I prayed the way I had been taught in Christian Science, denying that matter could have sensation or pain because it has no intelligence, and knowing that my life was really spiritual and without pain.
The next morning, however, the pain was even more intense, and my palate had become inflamed. I thought about going to the dentist, but decided to wait and continue to pray. I didn't mention the pain to my friends at work at first, but I made an effort to pray, insisting on my spiritual nature whenever I thought about this challenge throughout the day.
