HEALED ENROUTE TO A CARE FACILITY
I woke one morning two years ago feeling very unwell. Although I tried to pray, the feeling that I was about to faint recurred and increased, until I decided to ring a dear friend to ask for her prayerful support.
She was not in, but the message on her answering machine gave me her mobile number. On trying to get this number written down, I dropped the pencil, and in bending to retrieve it, I must have lost consciousness and fallen to the floor.
When I came to, I attempted to get up but was completely unable to move. I seemed to be drifting in and out of consciousness, but I remember clinging to the words "God is my Life," to familiar passages from the Bible and Science and Health, and to a line from a loved hymn. I said the Lord's Prayer, even though I never got very far before the mistiness would take over again.
