A LITTLE CHILD SHALL LEAD
I was a very busy mom taking care of my four children, all of school age, when we received the good news that some family members wanted to visit us for a few weeks. They traveled from Germany to Mexico, where we live, and I was glad to have them stay at my house, for I hadn't seen them in many years.
We were all very happy together. But it also was a lot of extra work for me, since they did not speak Spanish, and I had to be their tour guide and translate for them constantly. So sometimes it all was a bit much and I felt exhausted.
One day, after having served dinner—with everyone still sitting at the table having a good talk and much laughter—I suddenly felt very ill. I had to withdraw to my room and lie down. I felt very sorry for myself and was also worried because I didn't want to spoil the good party.
