REAL-LIFE STORIES
She really listened to me
I had always been looking for answers to my questions about life. I grew up in Yugoslavia. But I felt the answers I was looking for were not there. So when I was 19, I borrowed money for a one-way ticket to England. I started reading avidly everything and anything I could lay my hands on. I read Freud, Jung, and Hermann Hesse, and a large cross-section of the world's sacred literature.
Several years ago I had a major healing that completely changed my life. At the time, my life had just crumbled around me. My marriage was on the rocks, and I got divorced. I lost my business. And I was suffering from an eating disorder. With the help of a 12-step-program, I was able to completely surrender my life and my will to the care of God. And I found mental, physical, and spiritual healing. What I learned from this experience was that it is only God who heals. I just have to be willing to follow His instructions.
Prayer and meditation became a very important part of my life. I intuitively knew that action expressed gratitude better than any words. So I made it my business to "put myself out there," so to speak, devoting myself to the study of esoteric and metaphysical texts, attending lectures, workshops, and helping others. I became a member of the National Federation of Spiritual Healers in Great Britain. Cancer patients were referred to me, and I went to see them and often prayed the Lord's Prayer with people to help heal them.
