I just want to thank you right away for the October 13 Sentinel on the theme of "You are never excluded from God's love." It gave me new insight into how to think about how people perceive themselves and how I can perceive others as Jesus did—as the unlimited image and likeness of God.

"The divine right to be included" by Ron Ballard and "6 stories on belonging" brought out that we are defined by the ability to love spiritually, regardless of apparent human circumstances, and are therefore not limited, labeled as sexual entities, as homeless, or as victims.

Jim Corbett's article (in that same issue) on surviving a hurricane has helped with my prayer for the wildfires in California. The article solves the problem by showing that fear is the root cause to be overcome and that God is carving for everyone, including those suffering loss of any kind. I'm sure from this that God is in control and that these fires and their effects will be reversed [letter dated October 30].
