Stages of spiritual growth: healing and progressing
A number of years ago I suddenly began feeling a great deal of pain in my arms and shoulders. Because of the pain, it became difficult to do most things we do daily without conscious thought. I prayed regularly about this. When I couldn't sleep at night, I asked a Christian Science practitioner to pray for me, and when the pain subsided so that I could generally get some sleep, I continued praying on my own.
Fortunately one of my daughters was living at home at the time and loving helped me in so many ways. During this time, I was able to continue work, and only my daughter who was at home knew what was wrong—she used to come to my office at the end of the day to help me with my coat, as I was unable to put my arms in it without assistance.
