Prayer heals flu
A few years ago, I was at my office in Manhattan. It was mid-morning, and suddenly I became very ill with flu symptoms (dizziness, nausea, aching, etc.). I felt I couldn't continue to work, and thought I should leave the office and go home.
However, that meant a long trip that involved walking about four blocks to the subway, maneuvering several sets of stairs, figuring out the time schedule for the train since I was unfamiliar with the schedule for this time of day. And then the ride itself on the train out to Long Island would be about an hour. Altogether it would be about two hours. And once I got to the station in Long Island, I would have to get in my car and drive home. It was just very daunting, considering how terrible I was feeling.
Yet, even though I felt very unpleasant physically, I knew that God was taking care of me. I often think of God as embracing me in the loving arms of a Mother, so now I felt I could trust Her love for me to see me through this thing.
