Through a spiritual lens—TWO VIEWS OF PRISON

THE CELL

My name is Michael H. Morgan, and I am currently a prisoner in New york state.

Prior to my incarceration, I was employed as a photojournalist. Many places I have travelled with my work.

I lost my way to God when I was free. Now I am able to sit back and reflect on my past errors.

I receive the Sentinel on a regular basis, and it serves as an inspiration. Thank you.

I recently picked up the October 1, 2001, issue and saw the new feature—"Through a spiritual lens." This caused me to go through my own photos and see what I might be able to provide at this time. ...

[This one] is entitled "The Cell." In the narrow prisons that man deals with during his life, whether it be the prisons we build physically or emotionally, there is always that light, that strength that God offers us. We do not have to live in the darkness, no matter what our circumstances, as long as we accept God.
