Spirituality works in the workplace
I'VE HAD TWO JOBS FOR THE PAST SIX YEARS. One, which is my own business, sometimes requires working unusual hours and being very available to clients. The other, which involves dealing with the media and public officials, can require particularly long and intense hours. I delight in working hard, although I've learned it's important to maintain a balance, and to take time for family and recreation.
For me, the key to accomplishing a lot but still keeping that balance, is counting on God to know what to do, and when and how to do it. This means listening to God and following His directions.
Distinguishing between your own thoughts about what to do and the ideas that come from God is important. I find that being quiet with Him early in the morning makes it easier to feel His guidance throughout the day.
