HEALING IN 'GOD-TIME'
Have you ever been afraid that being away from familiar people, familiar foods, churches, doctors, caregivers-or the comforts of a home—would jeopardize you or deprive you of the help and care you may need? I felt this way once when I was 19. My parents were treating my younger brother and me to a special overseas trip.
On the last evening of our trip, we were celebrating by having dinner in the gourmet restaurant of our hotel. Halfway into my appetizer, I started to get dizzy and feel strange. Something was wrong.
I quietly excused myself and hurried up to the room, where I became uncontrollably ill. I believe I was having a serious allergic reaction to the food.
