Healing of bursitis

Original in Portuguese

I suffered from bursitis for almost five years. The attacks were sporadic. When they came, I was not able to move one of my arms, and that prevented me from dressing myself alone or driving.

I had tried without success to find a solution to this problem through prayer. However, since the pain persisted, I went to the doctor. He told me that in order to move my arm again, the only choice I had was to have surgery. Hearing this, I realized I did not want this kind of treatment. So I decided to rely on Christian Science treatment, and I asked a Christian Science practitioner to pray for me. The practitioner, with much love, asked me to try to not be impressed by the pain or by the fact that I sometimes did not have freedom of movement. Instead, the practitioner said, I should acknowledge that God is the source of all action.

When the pain was very strong, the practitioner would visit me. Once, we prayed the Lord's Prayer together. After this prayer I felt great relief. I felt I had been healed, and I said this to the practitioner. Then I lifted my arm naturally—without any pain. I had been healed instantaneously and completely. And I never had those problems again.
