Abuse—in the workplace and elsewhere
I've been the recipient of several incidents of abuse in the workplace.
I remember a time, for example, when a woman who was my supervisor rode me mercilessly. She was on my case about every little mistake I made—and sometimes came down hard on me when I actually hadn't messed up at all. I remember her saying one day, "I've just got to get my digs in."
This kind of verbal abuse is something none of us has to take. You and I—and for that matter, the person doing the abusing—are all children of God. And the way God made all of us gives us freedom from abuse and from dishing it out.
