Prayer—in every need
One Saturday morning in the spring of 1997, I was boiling water in a saucepan. When I reached for the handle, I spilled water all over myself, from my neck down to my toes. The shock of the scalding water left me almost senseless.
I called my daughter, who was at school in St. Louis, and told her I needed help. Then I quickly hung up, because I was in so much pain.
My daughter called back, and in a very confident but serene and loving voice told me she'd stay right with me in prayer until I was well.
