Finding God, finding health
I suffered from intestinal problems for a long time. I took a lot of medication, but that didn't help. One day a friend recommended that I read the Bible and the book Science and Health.
I began to see the importance of humility.
As I began to understand the ideas in Science and Health, I dropped the medication completely. I never took another pill. And little by little the problem diminished, until I was healed. That was more than five years ago.
What really happened to me during that time was that I realized men and women are not made of material elements. Actually, we're spiritual in nature. The Bible says that God is Spirit. So we're really made in His likeness.
Another thing I began to see was the importance of humility, because it's the basis for our holiness, and leads us to understand who we really are. And part of humility is seeing that there is no force, no power, no life, but God. That He is the only Spirit, the only Life, the only Truth. So God and His creation are the only reality.
